First, choose a base (image) for your icon/graphic. I'll be using this one:
To turn it into this:
1) First, duplicate the base, then set the duplicated layer mode to Hard Light.
2) Create a new layer, fill it with
#255e58. Set to Exclusion 100%.
3) Create a new layer, fill it with
#0875ae. Set to Screen 70%.
4) Duplicate the base, drag to top, desaturate (Image > Adjustments > Desaturate, or
Shift + Ctrl + U), set to Overlay 100%.
5) Create a new layer, fill it with
#957919. Set to Pin Light 60%.
6) You're done! :3 (Tip: Layer > Merge visible).
